Swing check valves are used on pipelines in chemical, petroleum, natural gas, electric power and other industries as a device to prevent medium backflow and ensure the safety of pipeline installations. The medium flows in from the inlet end, and the valve disc rotates around the pin, opening the valve disc and connecting the medium; when the pipeline medium is cut off, the medium flows backward, pushing the valve disc to rotate back, the sealing surfaces match, and the medium is cut off. It can not only prevent medium backflow, but also effectively limit destructive water hammer.
swing check valve
The swing check valve is a common type of check valve. It is mainly composed of valve body, valve disc and rocker and other components. When the fluid flows in the forward direction, the valve disc is opened by rotating around the shaft under the push of the fluid, allowing the fluid to pass through smoothly. Once the fluid flows in the reverse direction, the valve disc closes quickly under the action of gravity and reverse fluid pressure to prevent fluid backflow. The swing check valve has a simple structure and high reliability. It is widely used in fields such as water supply and drainage, petrochemical industry and power, playing an important role in the safe and stable operation of pipeline systems.
