Backflow preventer

The backflow preventer is a device used to prevent the backflow of fluids in pipeline systems. It mainly consists of two check valves and an intermediate chamber.

During operation, under normal circumstances, the fluid can smoothly pass through the check valves and flow forward. When a reverse pressure occurs, the two check valves cooperate with each other. The first check valve blocks most of the backflow. The intermediate chamber can relieve pressure and drain water, and the second check valve further blocks the remaining reverse water flow, thus effectively avoiding the backflow phenomenon. The backflow preventer is widely used in fields with high requirements for water quality and safety, such as drinking – water systems and fire – fighting systems, to ensure the one – way flow of fluids and the safety and hygiene of the systems.
